From the article:
CHEYENNE — Judiciary Committee members unanimously signed off on a resolution seeking to curb the powers of the federal government.
The resolution, House Joint Resolution 2, offers a long list of federal laws that it says are unconstitutional, including the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act and the Federal Land Policy and Management Act.
Several legislators said the resolution, sponsored by state Rep. Pete Illoway, R-Cheyenne, would help set into words the concerns many Wyomingites have about the federal government’s intrusion into their lives.
Committee members declined to take up a second, similar states’-rights resolution by state Rep. Pat Childers, R-Cody, agreeing it would be better to move some of the parts of Childers’ resolution into Illoway’s resolution.
