NAVIGATING THIS BLOG

Posts (dated articles with a feature that allows for comments from readers) are below the front page.

Same with links to other websites, videos and blog archives. They are on the right side of the blog where opposite posts in a narrow column.

SCROLL DOWN if you want to research or get sources. Use the "labels" feature and simply click on the topic or person that interests you. An idiosyncracy of this format is that whenever you click on a label or older post, you will again see the front page. Nothing we can do about that.

The Oath of the President of the United States

US Constitution, Article II, Section 1

Before he enter on the execution of his office, he shall take the following oath or affirmation: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

The case could be made that Obama has violated the oath of the office of the Presidency of the United States in not closing the borders at the threat of a global pandemic of the Mexican flu, the violations of the U.S. Constitution in the CIFTA, and his refusal to clarify the circumstances of his birth. Think about it.

DENVER MAN HAS VIDEO OF REAL LIVE ALIEN: SO DOES ORF!

Jeff Peckman, in his forties and still living with his parents, wants the city of Denver to adopt an alien ordinance creating a city department to educate Earthlings in Denver what to do when they come in contact with an alien (space alien). Peckman even has what he claims is video of a real live alien peeking in a window. DENVER POST: USDA STUDY ON CLIMATE CHANGE & FUTURE OF AMERICAN WEST

Click on the title of this post to read the article in the Denver Post.

"The study by the U.S. Department of Agriculture — a survey and synthesis of existing research — paints a picture of sweeping changes in the next 30 to 50 years. The analysis is based on an assumed rise in the concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide — the main greenhouse gas — from the current 380 parts per million to 440 ppm and a 2.16 degree Fahrenheit increase in average temperature.

"Some of the really marked impacts are happening in the West," said Peter Backlund, a lead author and researcher at the Boulder-based National Center for Atmospheric Research. "It is really daunting." The West may face changes in the following areas:

Arid lands
Juniper trees, forbs and woody plants may expand their range, taking advantage of the carbon dioxide in the air. Species such as saguaro cactus and Joshua trees may be threatened by increased fire risks. Drought and severe rainstorms also could lead to erosion.

Livestock production
Because livestock eat less in hot weather, there are projected increases in days to market in the West by 2040: 2.2 percent for cattle and 3.3 percent for pigs. A 2.3 percent delay — equal to 1.5 days — in the central U.S. would cost swine producers there $5 million a year.

Forest fires
The size and number of fires in the West have increased since 1985. The trend is linked to lower snowmelt and higher spring and summer air temperatures. In 2007, almost seven times as much forest acreage burned as in 1987, with many more high-elevation fires.

Insects and invasives
A warmer climate will spread the range of pests, such as the pine bark beetle and the spruce beetle, as well as expand the range of invasive, non- native grasses in the Southwestern deserts. This will increase fire risks in the areas.

Water
There has been a downward trend in snowpack water over the past 80 years because of changes in temperature and precipitation. Snow is melting an average 10 to 20 days earlier in Colorado, and by 2050 runoff could be reduced by 20 percent, according to one projection. "

SUPER CITY: EL PASO/JUAREZ

05/27/2008: A caller to the Mike Haymes show asked about a rumor of a super city being contemplated on the El Paso/Juarez border. I did some research and found the 'super city' already exists. The following information seems to indicate that international interests are in play to create the world's largest urban labor center. Organizations like the WORLD TRADE CENTER EL PASO/JUAREZ, THE WORLD BANK, THE PAN-AMERICAN HEALTH ORGANIZATION, CARIBBEAN EPIDEMIOLOGY CENTER, and others all have agendas on creating a manufacturing base larger than any other in the United States, immigration and communicable disease concerns and of course, selling the idea to the world. Check out the Youtube video: CIUDAD JUAREZ MEXICO THE BIG BORDERLAND CITY.

EL PASO JUAREZ

From Guestlife: Guide to El Paso/Juarez:

"The City of El Paso is the fifth largest city in Texas and the 23rd largest city in the United States.
The city of Juárez is the fifth largest city in Mexico.
El Paso/Juárez/Las Cruces is the largest International Metroplex in the world with a combined population of about 2.3 million.
White Sands Missile Range covers about 4,000 square miles of Southern New Mexico desert. The southernmost edge of this test range is about 20 miles north of El Paso. The world’s first atomic device was tested there at Trinity site. The Space Shuttle has landed at the range, which is an alternate Shuttle landing site.
Fort Bliss, established in 1848, is the duty station for approximately 12,500 active duty military personnel, while employing over 7,000 civilians, and has a land mass of over 1.1 million acres. The economic impact of Fort Bliss on El Paso is more than $1 billion, making it the largest single industry in El Paso.
Being in the westernmost tip of Texas, and due to the huge size of the state, El Paso is closer to five other state capitals than it is to its own capital of Austin, Texas. "

From the WORLD TRADE CENTER OF EL PASO/JUAREZ

"The El Paso - Juarez region is situated midway along the 2,000 miles of the United States and the Republic of Mexico international border, where the boundaries of Mexico, Texas, and New Mexico intersect. El Paso and Ciudad Juarez form the largest community on the U.S./Mexico border, and possibly on any border. El Paso is the 22nd largest city in the U.S. and Juarez is the 4th largest in Mexico. This major metropolitan area has a combined population of more than 2 million people and enjoys a bi-cultural atmosphere unique to any other areas.

The economies of El Paso and Juárez have been and continue to be interdependent and interlocked. The two economies depend on each other and rely heavily on trade and customers from the other side of the border. The advent of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) of 1994 has opened a window of opportunity for this community. One of our main goals is to assist local businesses in gathering maximum benefits from this legislation and to realize the benefit of offering goods and services on a world market.

Many major industries are located in the El Paso/Juarez region, with around 320 manufacturing plants or "maquiladoras" operating in Cd. Juarez.

The El Paso/Cd. Juarez region is the second most important border for US-Mexican trade - more than 33 billion dollars were traded through this port of entry in 2000. Trade activity between Texas and Mexico has mainly been dominated by automotive vehicles and their components, as well as electronic equipment and components.
Why Santa Teresa?
Santa Teresa is the new gateway into Juarez or Chihuahua Mexico. Northbound, it is a simple access to adjoining Interstates, I-10 and I -25.
Strategic location:
Santa Teresa Port of Entry is a simple gate way to Interstate 10 and Interstate 25. It is located 12 miles from El Paso, TX. Traveling north from Mexico, it is the hub to the New Mexico industrial park and a less congested route to the El Paso industrial parks via the interstate connections.
Infrastructure:
Santa Teresa Port Of Entry is the only port in the Paso del Norte region authorized for vehicle exports and/or oversized cargo shipments. The largest livestock crossing facilities are located at Santa Teresa. It is located 25 minutes from the El Paso International Airport and the Juarez International Airport. A cargo airport is located at Santa Teresa as well.
State Government Investment Incentives:
New Mexico government has many incentives for companies locating in Santa Teresa or anywhere in the state. For example, equipment and manufacturing salaries are considered for tax initiatives.

New Mexico Amenities:

Traveling northbound through the Santa Teresa POE, you may stop in Sunland Park Casino and Racetrack only 8 miles east. There are many quaint restaurants with the ambiance of varied foods. You may also visit the Stateline Bar-B-Q Steak House which is literally on the state line of New Mexico and Texas. Further north, approximately 50 miles, is Las Cruces, the second largest city in New Mexico. There are many sites to visit in Las Cruces, beginning with the Old Towne Mesilla, which houses many specialty shops from jewelry to art work. Interstate 25 will connect you to Interstate 70 which leads you to the beautiful resort town of Ruidoso with horseracing, gambling and skiing. "

Since Alamogordo is so close to the world's largest metro-plex, wouldn't it make sense to try to lure some of those metroplexinites to town with some sort of tourism event. White Sands National Monument does not seem to be filling that need.

I found a link to a site named Hyperborder on the World Trade Center El Paso/Juarez site.
Hperborder.com (website no longer exists, but I found a pdf file on rejuvenation of the European Union came up on a google search of the website). Read this document. I posted it in the comments section of this post. It covers a plan to deal with graying populations, migration to replace lack of labor and illegal immigration in Europe. Interesting find for a link on the World Trade Center El Paso/Juarez website.

This link also came up on the Google search of Hyperborder.com

Caribbean Epidemiology Centre: http://www.carec.org/
The information on this website appears to focus on the health of Caribbean nations and communicable disease.

Continuing with a Google search of the El Paso/Juarez metroplex, I found this site:

SECURITY SOLUTIONS FOR SECURITY MANAGERS”
“Welcome to ASIS El Paso - Juarez! Please feel free to browse our website in order to learn more about our organization. The Resources page contains a wide variety of data on issues related to the private security and law enforcement sector, as well as information about ASIS certifications and scholarships. If you'd like to learn about the current ASIS El Paso - Juarez happenings, please visit the Events page.”

I came across some colorful youtube videos featuring El Paso/Juarez.

CIUDAD JUAREZ MEXICO THE BIG BORDERLAND CITY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9MXJRnqG1A&feature=related

This was a brief search for the super city on the border. In the global pitch video there are three dynamics to this region that are purposely omitted.

1. Water for the future

2. Illegal immigration

3. The SECURITY AND PROSPERITY PARTNERSHIP highway.

And finally this. I thought the readers would get a chuckle out of this picture.

Mexican Authorities Covering up shootings of Americans

From: Right Side News

"
La Mesa woman Libby Gianna Craig believed to be an American was among four people found shot to death in a canyon near Rosarito Beach in Baja California, official’s said. The 28-year-old was in an area known as Morro Canyon along with three Afro-American males; Mexican police described three of the dead men as "Black Americans". Early reports also said more bodies were found in a separate location at different points of Playas de Rosarito, reported some Mexican papers. Shortly after the Baja Attorney General de Justicia del Estado took over the investigation the official word changed and the press was told of only four people killed three Mexican nationals and one female of Mexican decent and denied that the male victims were Americans. This was a complete reversal from the on the crime scene investigating police officers who reported the three men were Afro-Americans and the names were being with hold pending notification of the next of kin in the states. A high ranking Mexican army officer has told the Laguna Journal that he and others have received word to not talk with or report any American deaths to the media. "

Thoughts for Memorial Day

Our military men and women deserve our gratitude for their sacrifices, duty and honor. So, too the families of our warriors. Look up, take a deep breath and know that without our brave and selfless, we would not be in the land of the free.

And if the next time you hear about an assault on our individual freedoms perpetrated by our elected "representatives" and do nothing, it turns out that you do not deserve that freedom hard fought at a high price. Shame on you, your ingratitude will secure you a life without joy.

God Bless America. With all her worts, she is still the best. Bless our troops.

Federal Judge in N.M. To Consider Legality of Falcon (Wolf) Decision
By Susan Montoya BryanAssociated Press

A decision by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to designate the northern aplomado falcon (wolf) as a nonessential, experimental population in two Western states stemmed from "political, top-down pressure," a lawyer for an environmental group argued in federal court. WildEarth Guardians, along with a handful of other groups, is suing the Fish and Wildlife Service and The Peregrine Fund, saying the designation violated federal policy and stripped the bird (wolf) of needed protections under the Endangered Species Act. The environmentalists are asking U.S. District Judge William Johnson to declare the designation illegal and make the agency reconsider the bird's (wolves') status in New Mexico and Arizona. They also want Johnson to force the agency to respond to a petition seeking critical habitat in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. The falcon (wolf) was listed as endangered in 1986. It's range once covered much of the Southwest and northern Mexico but experts have said its numbers dwindled due to pesticides, human activities and habitat change. The Fish and Wildlife Service designated the falcons (wolves) as an experimental population in New Mexico and Arizona in 2006, clearing the way for The Peregrine Fund to begin releasing captive-bred falcons (wolves) in the Chihuahuan grasslands of southern New Mexico as part of a reintroduction effort. Under the reintroduction rule, any birds (wolves) in New Mexico or Arizona are not considered endangered but they continue to have some protections. For example, it's still illegal to shoot or harass the birds (wolves) or to take their eggs. Environmentalists contend that reintroduced animals can be designated as experimental only if they are outside the species' current range. They argue that there had been more than two dozen falcon (wolf) sightings in the two years leading up to the first release, meaning there was a population in New Mexico. Jay Tutchton, WildEarth Guardians' general counsel, said Tuesday the Fish and Wildlife Service should have excluded the wild falcons (wolves) in southern New Mexico when creating the special designation. "Our quarrel is where they didn't draw the line. Their decision was arbitrary," Tutchton told Johnson. "We believe it was political and there was top-down pressure." Tutchton pointed to several e-mails and letters between agency employees that raised concerns about whether the agency could legally designate the population as experimental since wild falcons (wolves) had been spotted in the region. He said other documents indicated that regional Fish and Wildlife officials had decided on the designation before collecting public comment and reviewing the potential impacts of the designation as required by the National Environmental Policy Act. The New Mexico Game and Fish Department, the Bureau of Land Management and other independent researchers who reviewed the designation proposal also voiced concerns about the legality of the designation and what it would mean for the wild falcons (wolves) in the region, he said. Attorneys representing the federal government and The Peregrine Fund argued that political pressure is part of the NEPA process and that the agency considered all of the comments before making a decision. The attorneys also said that under the law, the agency is allowed to have a preferred alternative — in this case, the nonessential, experimental designation for birds (wolves) in New Mexico and Arizona. Both sides also argued over the falcon's (wolves') range and whether there has to be a certain number of breeding pairs in the area to classify the birds (wolves) as a population. Defense attorneys said sightings of falcons (wolves) in New Mexico didn't mean there was a breeding population. "The Fish and Wildlife Service appropriately came to the conclusion that there was not a population. It was not arbitrary and it certainly wasn't capricious," Frank Bond, an attorney for The Peregrine Fund, said of the agency's decision. Johnson repeatedly asked both parties why they were on opposite sides of the table considering that they both want to see the falcon (wolf) succeed.Tutchton answered that critical habitat is necessary for the bird's (wolf's) success and the agency has failed to address the issue. He said The Peregrine Fund has released 1,250 falcons (wolves) in Texas over the years and only 115 have survived, leading him to believe that there's a problem with the bird's (wolf's) habitat. "You can grow birds (wolves) , release them and have a 90 percent death rate," he said. "But unless we circle back around to this habitat problem, we are never going to get off this treadmill of releasing these birds (wolves)and letting them die." DUH! You just made our point about wolves, thank you very much!

Of Baseball and Obama

By Thomas Sowell

"Many years ago, a great hitter named Paul Waner was nearing the end of his long career. He entered a ballgame with 2,999 hits -- one hit away from the landmark total of 3,000, which so many hitters want to reach, but which relatively few actually do reach.

Waner hit a ball that the fielder did not handle cleanly but the official scorer called it a hit, making it Waner's 3,000th. Paul Waner then sent word to the official scorer that he did not want that questionable hit to be the one that put him over the top.

The official scorer reversed himself and called it an error. Later Paul Waner got a clean hit for number 3,000.

What reminded me of this is the great fervor that many seem to feel over the prospect of the first black President of the United States.

No doubt it is only a matter of time before there is a black president, just as it was only a matter of time before Paul Waner got his 3,000th hit. The issue is whether we want to reach that landmark so badly that we are willing to overlook how questionably that landmark is reached."

Exterior of downhill ski run in Dubai, United Arab Emerits.
Note that palm trees are dwarfed by this edifice.

Letter to Editor
Alamogordo Daily News

May 20, 2008

It’s unfortunate that our government has to play politics at our expense. Gas prices implode in our pockets and rend them to tatters. When will the American people say, “Enough!” and demand a moratorium on these ridiculous prices? I’m really sick of paying for the Arab play land in Dubai, aren’t you? Have you seen that city lately?

When our country oozes down the stinky cesspool of a sewer, will you whine and sob that you could have done something, but didn’t? Are you running amuck with apathy, so much so that you can’t pick up the phone and spend a grand total of five minutes demanding taxpayer’s satisfaction?

While you watch the latest television reality show and stuff your face with potato chips while lounging on your sofa, will you let the America you grew up in silently slip away?

Do you realize our country is in deep jeopardy—and I don’t mean the game show! While you sleep, legislation creeps through the stealth of night and votes are garnered while your freedom is swept up in a vacuum, all neat and tidy. Do you care—yet?

There is a humorous joke running around the Internet about alligators in a moat to stave off illegal aliens and the extra dirt going to New Orleans, but maybe there is more to this joke than we realize. Common sense was buried in Washington. Did you witness its burial?

Have you seen the video about what happened in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina where the FBI and the local PD went forcefully home to home confiscating homeowner’s guns while thugs on the loose kept theirs? Check this out and tell me we don’t live in Amerika, the land of the handouts and what-can-you-do-for-me syndrome, unless of course the feds want your guns.
http://www.nraila.org/Multimedia/MMPlayer_Set.aspx?ID=105

These are real times folks with real consequences. Get off your happy hind ends and do something before we’re long past recovery. First and foremost, pray to God—not Allah and not anyone else. God alone has the keys to this disaster and only He can help us now. And then get up off your knees and make some phone calls, email your legislators (their addresses are printed in the paper) and write a few letters. Time’s awastin.’

Pop Quiz for Hayseeds: What Four People Have The Most Effect On The Lives Of Otero Residents?

Re: Hayseeds!

Several years ago the AF was planning on low level flights over Otero County and had a meeting here in Mayhill to inform everyone.

This one "Hot Shot" AF colonel was strutting around like he was important and was telling us "Hay Seeds" everything that he thought that we should know.

After the meeting I walked up to him while he was talking to a local lady and heard him say, "I didn't know I was talking to an engineer!"

What he didn't know was that not only was she an engineer, but the first lady to obtain a PhD in engineering from Ohio State.

I told the "Hot Shot" that I was an engineer too and has seen colonels make coffee in the AF organization that I retired from.

I was an AF civilian. There weren't very many AF officers in that organization who had big heads. Just get the job done.

There are a number of ranchers and farmers in this area, and suspect all over, that have college degrees.

The ones that may not have formal educations, aren't dumb or the wouldn't have been able to exist in this very competitive industry.

One of the native local ranchers who is over 80 now was asked one time to accompany a friend to a court hearing that the friend was involved in.

On the way the rancher asked the friend if he had an attorney.

The friend answered, "You are."

Surprise, surprise.

The rancher who only has a formal high school education won.

Imminent Threat At Our Doorstep? Wake Up America

U.S.-trained forces reportedly helping Mexican cartels

WASHINGTON - As many as 200 U.S.-trained Mexican security personnel have defected to drug cartels to carry out killings on both sides of the border and as far north as Dallas, Rep. Ted Poe, R-Humble, told Congress on Wednesday.

The renegade members of Mexico's elite counter-narcotics teams trained at Fort Benning, Ga., have switched sides, contributing to a wave of violence that has claimed some 6,000 victims over the past 30 months, including prominent law enforcement leaders, the Houston-area Republican told the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

The slaughter has gained urgency amid high-profile assassinations of law officers in Mexico since May 1, claiming six senior officers, five of them with the federal police.

Poe held aloft a dramatic, poster-board-size photograph that he said showed guerrilla-style commandos crossing into the United States.

He said the Department of Homeland Security had documented "over 250 incursions by suspected military forces" into the United States over the past decade.

"I was surprised to hear that the United States has trained Mexican forces and some of those have deserted and become the reason for these attacks," Poe said.

Officers 'switched sides'
The U.S.-trained Mexican security personnel have "switched sides and became assassins and recruiters for the Mexican drug cartels."

Poe, a former prosecutor and criminal court judge, issued the allegations in an unsuccessful effort to persuade the House Foreign Affairs Committee to revamp President Bush's Merida Initiative.
Bush's blueprint calls for $1.4 billion in training, equipment and law enforcement assistance to Mexico and Central America over three years.

Bush also is seeking $500 million in emergency assistance for Mexico this year as part of the supplemental war spending measure.

Democrats have included only $400 million of Bush's request in the $161 billion war spending measure.

Poe tried to require the Bush administration to evenly split spending between the United States and Mexico rather than sending the entire amount south of the border.

"It seems as though the United States has a history in some cases of giving support (to Mexico) and that support turns around and is used against the very people we're trying to protect, in this case, us," Poe said. "We have no assurance that the equipment we're sending to Mexico won't be turned over to the drug cartels and used against us."

Panel backs original plan
Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Austin, also tried to persuade the Democratic-controlled panel to shift part of the Mexico-bound spending to the United States to bolster law enforcement efforts on the border.

McCaul, a former federal prosecutor who specialized in counter-terrorism, called border drug violence "an imminent security threat right on our doorstep" that deserves the same effort as the war on terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The 50-member panel, led by Rep. Howard Berman, D-Calif., largely endorsed the Bush administration's version of the proposal, expanding assistance beyond Mexico and Central America to include the Caribbean nations of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Berman referred Poe's and McCaul's proposed changes to the House Judiciary Committee, saying their plans for greater spending by U.S. law enforcement along the border fell within that panel's jurisdiction.

ICE ARRESTS U.S. BORDER PATROL AGENT

http://www.borderfirereport.net/latest/ice-arrests-u.s.-border-patrol-agent.html

ICE arrests U.S. Border Patrol agent Wednesday, 14 May 2008

Agent charged with alien smuggling and money laundering conspiracy

EL PASO, Texas - Special agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of Investigations and other federal agencies on Tuesday arrested a U.S. Border Patrol agent on charges of alien smuggling and money laundering. Federal officers also arrested two suspected members of the alien smuggling organization.

Agents with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Office of the Inspector General, FBI and U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Border Patrol assisted with the investigation.Jesus Miguel Huizar, 28, was arrested May 13 at the Las Cruces, N.M., Border Patrol Station, shortly after he reported for work. Huizar, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Mexico, is a five-year veteran of the Border Patrol. He allegedly facilitated transporting illegal aliens through Border Patrol checkpoints in New Mexico.

According to the ICE investigation, Huizar charged $500 for each alien he allowed to pass through his checkpoint. The criminal network's smuggling fee ranged between $1,800 and $2,500 per alien."ICE is relentless in identifying and arresting the few corrupt federal officers who stray from their charge of enforcing the rule of law and protecting the homeland," said Roberto G. Medina, special agent in charge of the ICE Office of Investigations in El Paso. "We will work diligently with our federal law enforcement partners to maintain the trust of the American public."

Medina oversees west Texas and the State of New Mexico.Huizar, Emeterio Sigala-Favela, 37, and Luis Carlos Chacon-Rubio, 32, are named in a two-count indictment. Huizar is charged with conspiracy to smuggle aliens and money laundering conspiracy. His alleged associates are charged with conspiracy and alien smuggling.According to court documents, the criminal enterprise allegedly smuggled more than a hundred illegal aliens into the country and transported them to various U.S. cities since November 2007.

The network is suspected of operating since at least 2005.Sigala Favela, the manager and organizer of the organization, coordinated with Chacon-Rubio to drive the illegal aliens from El Paso drop houses to their final destinations, such as Albuquerque, N.M.; Dallas, Texas; and cities in Colorado and Oklahoma. Both are Mexican citizens who are border crossing card holders based in Chihuahua City, Chihuahua, Mexico.Smugglers, or coyotes, who worked with the organization, illegally guided the aliens from Mexico and across the U.S. border into areas in East El Paso County and near Santa Teresa, N.M. The smuggling network is also suspected of providing illegal aliens with fraudulent documents that allowed many of them to cross through the international ports of entry. The smuggling organization also used area hotels and a house in the 9000 block of Geranium, which belongs to Huizar, as staging areas for illegal aliens. As part of its criminal investigation ICE plans to seize that house, five bank accounts in El Paso, and several vehicles.

Monies totaling $21,000 have already been seized from one account."Corruption within the Department of Homeland Security will not be tolerated," said Special Agent in Charge James E. Smith of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Office of the Inspector General. "The Office of Inspector General, working in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies, and the United States Attorney's Office, will continue to dedicate all available resources to insure that corruption within our ranks is an exception to the rule and never the norm."

El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Victor M. Manjarrez Jr. said, "We operate in an environment in which even a single corrupt act can have significant ramifications to our nation's security, and it simply will not be tolerated. "Allegations against our agents are taken very seriously and the U.S. Border Patrol stands ready to fully cooperate with our partners in any investigation."U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement

THE VETTING OF GOVERNMENT WORKERS AIN'T WHAT IT USED TO BE

Steve Merrill, Oklahoma

*** Illegal immigration should have stopped on September 12, 2001.
*** Remember, if you are serious about doing something about illegal immigration at the very least, start by getting then staying informed.
*** If the government of the United States was serious about the invasion of our nation by illegal aliens, they would do more about it. And if you do not think this is an invasion, then try and stop it.
*** Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist"
*** A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have -- Thomas Jefferson
*** "The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil but because of those who look on and do nothing." --Albert Einstein
*** The American media reports the news under the privilege granted to them under the First Amendment. But they also have the moral responsibility associated with that right to report it without a leftist slant.

What the LEO's are calling ammunition is most likely nails and that green vegetation they were carrying is most likely medicinal herbs so that they won't be a burden on the American health care industry. The second article is about another hard working, just trying to make ends meet kind a guy. This one is just trying to follow the example set by this administration... and he IS from Mexico.

The Year Was 1976. Do You Remember What You Were Doing At the End of May?

Maybe you were on your way, taking a break from
work or school, headed out into the country. Could be that you already lived in the boondocks yearning to go to town to see a movie or have a chocolate soda.
Perhaps you were taking a trip to see the old folks or returning to your loved ones after a stint with Uncle Sam. Or, you could have been hard at work, just dreaming of the day when you could afford the luxury of a cross-country roadtrip. In Vancouver, BC, the United Nations, bureaucrats of sovereign nations and non-governmental organizations (NGO) were busy making big plans for your country and your future:

REPORT OF HABITAT: UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE ON HUMAN SETTLEMENTS

...Land is one of the fundamental elements in human settlements. Every State has the right to take the necessary steps to maintain under public control the use, possession, disposal and reservation of land. Every State has the right to plan and regulate use of land, which is one of its most important resources, in such a way that the growth of population centres both urban and rural are based on a comprehensive land use plan. Such measures must assure the attainment of basic goals of social and economic reform for every country, in conformity with its national and land tenure system and legislation....

...It is the responsibility of Governments to prepare spatial strategy plans and adopt human settlement policies to guide the socio-economic development efforts. Such policies must be an essential component of an over-all development strategy, linking and harmonizing them with policies on industrialization, agriculture, social welfare, and environmental and cultural preservation so that each supports the other in a progressive improvement in well-being of all mankind. ...

...International and national institutions should promote and institute education programmes and courses in the subject of "human settlements...

...Land is an essential element in development of both urban and rural settlements. The use and tenure of land should be subject to public control because of its limited supply through appropriate measures and legislation including agrarian reform policies - as an essential basis for integrated rural development - that will facilitate the transfer of economic resources to the agricultural sector and the promotion of the agro-industrial effort, so as to improve the integration and organization of human settlements, in accordance with national development plans and programmes. The increase in the value of land as a result of public decision and investment should be recaptured for the benefit of society as a whole. Governments should also ensure that prime agricultural land is destined to its most vital use. ...

...Land, because of its unique nature and the crucial role it plays in human settlements, cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth and therefore contributes to social injustice; if unchecked, it may become a major obstacle in the planning and implementation of development schemes. Social justice, urban renewal and development, the provision of decent dwellings and healthy conditions for the people can only be achieved if land is used in the interests of society as a whole.

Instead, the pattern of land use should be determined by the long-term interests of the community, especially since decisions on location of activities and therefore of specific land uses have a long-lasting effect on the pattern and structure of human settlements. Land is also a primary element of the natural and man-made environment and a crucial link in an often delicate balance. Public control of land use is therefore indispensable to its protection as an asset and the achievement of the long-term objectives of human settlement policies and strategies....

...Land is one of the most valuable natural resources and it must be used rationally. Public ownership or effective control of land in the public interest is the single most important means of improving the capacity of human settlements to absorb changes and movements in population, modifying their internal structure and achieving a more equitable distribution of the benefits of development whilst assuring that environmental impacts are considered. ...

...CHANGE IN THE USE OF LAND, ESPECIALLY FROM AGRICULTURAL TO URBAN, SHOULD BE SUBJECT TO PUBLIC CONTROL AND REGULATION.

Such control may be exercised through:

Zoning and land-use planning as a basic instrument of land policy in general and of control of land-use changes in particular;

Direct intervention, e.g. the creation of land reserves and land banks, purchase, compensated expropriation and/or pre-emption, acquisition of development rights, conditioned leasing of public and communal land, formation of public and mixed development enterprises;

Legal controls, e.g. compulsory registration, changes in administrative boundaries, development building and local permits, assembly and replotting;

Fiscal controls, e.g. property taxes, tax penalties and tax incentives;...

These are all direct quotes from The United Nations Conference on Human Settlements in the same order they were given. I have edited for length and with an eye to private property rights.
Thank you, Melodee.

Thanks, But No Tanks.

Immigration ‘Compromise’ Sells
Out Our Sovereignty by Ron Paul

May 28, 2007

The much-vaunted Senate “compromise” on immigration is a compromise alright:,a compromise of our laws, a compromise of our sovereignty, and a compromise of the Second Amendment. That anyone in Washington believes this is a credible approach to solving our immigration crisis suggests just how out of touch our political elites really are.

The reality is that this bill will grant amnesty to virtually all of the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens in the country today. Supporters use very creative language to try and convince us that amnesty is not really amnesty, but when individuals who have entered the United States illegally are granted citizenship – regardless of the fees they are charged – what you have is amnesty.

What is seldom discussed in the immigration debate, unfortunately, is the incentives the US government provides for people to enter the United States illegally. As we know well, when the government subsidizes something we get more of it. The government provides a myriad of federal welfare benefits to those who come to the US illegally, including food stamps and free medical care. Is this a way to discourage people from coming to the US illegally?

Additionally, one of the most absurd incentives for people to come to the US illegally is the promise of instant US citizenship to anyone born on our soil. That is why when Congress returns next week I will be re-introducing my Constitutional amendment to deny automatic citizenship to individuals born on US soil to parents who are not US citizens or who do not owe permanent allegiance to the United States .

There are many other very troubling items buried deep in the Senate’s immigration compromise. The bill explicitly calls for an “acceleration” of the March 2005 agreement between the US president, the president of Mexico , and the prime minister of Canada , known as the “Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America .” This somewhat secretive agreement – a treaty in all but name – aims to erase the borders between the United States , Canada , and Mexico and threatens our sovereignty and national security. The SPP was agreed by the president without the participation of Congress. It should be eliminated, not accelerated!

According to the pro-Second Amendment Gun Owners of America, the legislation also makes it easier to target gun dealers for prosecution. Even gun clubs could find themselves targeted under this immigration reform legislation.

Immigration reform should start with improving our border protection, yet it was reported last week that the federal government has approved the recruitment of 120 of our best trained Border Patrol agents to go to Iraq to train Iraqis how to better defend their borders! This comes at a time when the National Guard troops participating in Operation Jump Start are being removed from border protection duties in Arizona , New Mexico , and Texas and preparing to deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan ! It is an outrage and it will result in our borders being more vulnerable to illegal entry, including by terrorists.

I will continue to oppose any immigration bill that grants amnesty to illegals or undermines our liberty and sovereignty.

1976 UN REPORT HUMAN SETTLEMENTS

Click on the title of this post to read this 1976 document. Sent to ORF by our good friend Melodee from the San Luis Valley in southern Colorado. Often people dismiss such reports as the one in this post or the Tribunal gala in the previous post as conspiracy myth. People it is not.
Don't remain ignorant.

A meeting of those who think they know what's good for us

Trilateral Commission members want suffering U.S. taxpayers to shell out even more money

The Trilateral Commission—one of the three most powerful globalist groups in the world—held closed-door meetings right here in Washington, D.C. from April 25 to 28. True to form, those members of the media who knew about the meeting—or were themselves participants in the proceedings—refused to discuss what went on inside or report on the attendees. Luckily, American Free Press' own editor, Jim Tucker, was on the scene to bust this clandestine confabulation wide open.

Luminaries at the Trilateral Commission meeting in Washington expressed confidence that they own all three major presidential candidates, who, despite political posturing, will support sovereignty-surrendering measures such as NAFTA and the “ North American Union.”

“John has always supported free trade, even while campaigning before union leaders,” said one. “Hil and Barack are pretending to be unhappy about some things, but that’s merely political posturing. They’re solidly in support.”

He was referring to Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) and Barack Obama (D-Ill.).

Mrs. Clinton, they noted, held strategy sessions as first lady on how to get Congress to approve NAFTA “without changes.” As president, they agreed, she would do no more than “dot an i or cross a t.”

Candidate Obama has not denied news reports in Canada that his top economic adviser, Austan Goolsbee, assured Canadian diplomats that the senator would keep NAFTA intact and his anti-trade talk is just “campaign rhetoric.”

PETRIFIED ABOUT PAUL

While they are confident they can deal with any “potential president,” the Trilateralists paid huge tribute to Ron Paul in an equally large twist of irony, by expressing alarm that he is causing “significant future damage.”

They expressed concern that Paul’s rallies have attracted multitudes of young people who are getting “their political education.” They want Republicans to pressure Paul to drop out now and stop his education rallies. This assignment was given to Thomas Foley, former U.S. House speaker.

The reasons Paul’s “education campaign” strikes fear into Trilateral hearts are obvious. Paul would refuse to surrender an ounce of U.S. sovereignty to an international organization and TC wants world government.

Paul would immediately bring U.S. troops home from Iraq, Afghanistan and from 130 UN “peacekeeping” missions around the globe. TC wants to enjoy war profiteering and global power. Paul would abolish the federal income tax while the TC wants to pile on a global tax payable to the UN.

The formal agenda was loaded with everything Paul and American patriots detest: higher taxes, more foreign giveaways, more immigration, both legal and illegal, into the United States and “engaging Iran,” among others.

AMERICA NEEDS TO PAY HER FAIR SHARE?

The Trilaterals got down to real work on Saturday, April 26, with a high-powered panel called “U.S. Foreign and Domestic Policy: Broad Outlines for a New Administration.”

It was presided over by journalistic pimp David Gergen, who will write nothing about TC in his magazine, U.S News and World Report. Also participating were Kenneth Duberstein, former White House chief of staff for President Ronald Reagan; Strobe Talbot, president of the Brookings Institution and former deputy secretary of state; and Joseph Nye, former assistant secretary of defense. Henry Kissinger, former secretary of state and long-time Bilderberg leader, was present and listed as a participant. But a TC staff member crossed his name out. Some speculated he had throat problems.

This panel had these orders for the next president: increase foreign aid across the board because “America does not pay its fair share,” pay up the arrears in UN dues, allow as many immigrants into the United States as want to come and provide “amnesty” for illegal aliens already here.

Little, if anything, was said about the fact that American taxpayers pay one-fourth of the UN’s operating costs and one-third of the cost of 130 “peacekeeping missions” or the fact that immigrants from South America depress wages here and the average immigrant family costs the government thousands of dollars a year in welfare, health and other “benefits.”

Robert Zoellick, president of the World Bank and another long-time Bilderberg boy, largely echoed these views in a sweetheart “interview” by another journalistic strumpet, Lionel Barber, editor of The Financial Times, who will obediently report nothing. http://waronyou.com/2008/05/global-elite-gather-in-dc/

Click on the title of this post to be taken to govtrack.com to see the fnial vote record. The list of elected officials that voted for this bill is on that website.

I HAVE NO USE FOR ANY POLITICIAN THAT VOTED FOR THIS BILL. NO, THEY DO NOT KNOW BETTER THAN US. SEE YA PEARCE AND WILSON.
H.R. 1955
Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism
Prevention Act of 2007

As ordered reported by the House Committee on Homeland Security on August 1, 2007

H.R. 1955 would direct the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to establish a
university-based Center of Excellence for the Study of Violent Radicalization and
Homegrown Terrorism in the United States. The bill also would establish a commission to
investigate the causes of terrorist acts committed by persons raised or living in the United
States and would require DHS to prepare reports on certain issues relating to domestic
terrorism. CBO estimates that implementing H.R. 1955 would cost $22 million over the
2008-2012 period, assuming appropriation of the necessary amounts. Enacting H.R. 1955
would not affect direct spending or revenues.

Ending Poverty Noble Goal. SB 2433 Says The U.N. Can Do It. What Do You Think?

In the right columm, opposite posts, is a link to read Obama's Global Proverty Act.

I have read both versions of the proposed legislation.

1. This bill will not help the poor of the world. Remember "Oil for Food" scandal? Tell me one thing the U.N. has succeeded in other than talking our politicians into footing the bill for their scams. Former Ambassador to the U.N.,John Bolton has some choice words for the U.N.
http://www.hillsdale.edu/news/imprimis.asp

2. Charity for the needy is a bedrock principle of most Americans. I am totally opposed to legislating "morality". When you really think about it, it is no longer charitable, an act of giving, when it is imposed by law. This fundamentally removes the rewards and joys of giving further depriving us of the opportunity and blessings of helping our fellow man.

3. The Global Provery Act is a back door entry for gun control. Knowing that direct assaults on the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the individual right to keep and bear arms, would not be popular with U.S. citizens, globalists are attempting and end around with the Millennium Declaration. Here is an outline and where small arms become subject to regional disarmament:

I. Values and principles

II. Peace, security and disarmament
To take concerted action to end illicit traffic in small arms and light weapons, especially by making arms transfers more transparent and supporting regional disarmament measures, taking account of all the recommendations of the forthcoming United Nations Conference on Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons.

III. Development and poverty eradication

IV. Protecting our common environment

V. Human rights, democracy and good governance

VI. Protecting the vulnerable

VII. Meeting the special needs of Africa

VIII. Strengthening the United Nations

http://www.un.org/millennium/declaration/ares552e.htm

So, the research is done for you, Mr. International Radio Star. And, yes, what Karan sent you about the Global Proverty Act of 2007 is accurate. I will send you a bill.

JEROME CORSI: OIL NOT A FOSSIL FUEL...NATURE PRODUCES OIL 'ABIOTICALLY'

From WORLDNETDAILY, Dec. 1, 2005:

BLACK-GOLD BLUES
'Fossil fuel' theory takes hit with NASA finding
New study shows methane on Saturn's moon Titan not biological

Saturn's moon Titan (courtesy: NASA)
NASA scientists are about to publish conclusive studies showing abundant methane of a non-biologic nature is found on Saturn's giant moon Titan, a finding that validates a new book's contention that oil is not a fossil fuel.

"We have determined that Titan's methane is not of biologic origin," reports Hasso Niemann of the Goddard Space Flight Center, a principal NASA investigator responsible for the Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer aboard the Cassini-Huygens probe that landed on Titan Jan. 14.

Niemann concludes the methane "must be replenished by geologic processes on Titan, perhaps venting from a supply in the interior that could have been trapped there as the moon formed."

The studies announced by NASA yesterday will be reported in the Dec. 8 issue of the scientific journal Nature.

"This finding confirms one of the key arguments in 'Black Gold Stranglehold: The Myth of Scarcity and the Politics of Oil,'" claims co-author Jerome R. Corsi. "We argue that oil and natural gas are abiotic products, not 'fossil fuels' that are biologically created by the debris of dead dinosaurs and ancient forests."

Methane has been synthetically created in the laboratory, Corsi points out, "and now NASA confirms that abiotic methane is abundantly found on Titan."

The realization that hydrocarbons are produced inorganically throughout our solar system was a key insight that led Cornell University astronomer Thomas Gold to write his 1998 book, "The Deep Hot Biosphere: The Myth of Fossil Fuels." Gold wrote:

It would be surprising indeed if the earth had obtained its hydrocarbons only from a source that biology had taken from another carbon-bearing gas – carbon dioxide – which would have been collected from the atmosphere by photo-synthesizing organisms for manufacture into carbohydrates and then somehow reworked by geology into hydrocarbons. All this, while the planetary bodies bereft of surface life would have received their hydrocarbon gifts by purely abiogenic causes.
Gold wryly noted that he was sure there had not been any "big stagnant swamps on Titan" to produce the biological debris that conventionally trained geologists think was required on Earth to produce oil and natural gas as a "fossil fuel."

"If petroleum and natural gas are abiotic as we maintain in 'Black Gold Stranglehold,'" Corsi commented, "then the 'peak oil' fear that we are going to run out of oil may have been based on a giant misconception."

Paradigms in science change slowly and with great resistance, he noted, "But NASA has given us today incontrovertible evidence that Titan has abundant inorganic methane."

"If the scientists have ruled out that biological processes created methane on Titan, why do petro-geologists still argue that natural gas on Earth is of biological origin?" Corsi asked.

FUEL COSTS IMPACT NASCAR IN US

From the SPORTING NEWS, May 12, 2008:

"These days, whenever I watch NASCAR races, the price of gasoline causes me to swoon and be envious of the endless miles and frequent fill-ups the cars and trucks are privy to during periods of practice, qualifying and competition. Those SUNOCO pumps are bottomless wells of freeflowing liquid gold. Don't forget, also, the gasoline absorbed by the haulers, motorhomes, safety vehicles, food service, sponsor, souvenir and media trucks, and other forms of transportation used in association with the production of races and race programs. The amount of money spent on fuel must be astronomical!"

MADONNA TOUR SNUBS ALAMOGORDO - WHAT ARE FUEL COSTS FOR THESE EVENTS?

Madonna will be touring 28 cities around the world this year with more venues to be announced. Tickets for the Denver show will cost $55-$350 with a limit of four per customer. What are the fuel costs for transporting the Diva from nation to nation while she's on tour? What about fuel consumed by fans who attend her shows?
The same questions can be asked about the Democrat National Convention this August in Denver. Democrats plug the DNC as the first' green' convention in history. Dem's also claim this will be the largest political party convention ever held in the United States. Considering the high cost of fuel, the allegations of 'climate change' and the national guilt trip and market in carbon offsets the question is obvious; why even hold a convention? Millions of Hillary and Obama fans could all attend a cyber-convention on the Internet, eliminating fuel and environmental impact from the equation. DNC protest organizers estimate another 50,000 - 100,000 people will be traveling across the nation to Denver to the event. The same groups who scream bloody murder about drilling for domestic oil in ANWAR and in the United States will be burning expensive fuel to attend the convention. These socially conscious and 'green' advocates will be using more fuel and adding more carbon particulates to the environment. I'm guessing the need to be heard and seen outweighs the high cost of fuel and pollution. The most vocal proponents for pop equality and social awareness, along with the green agenda can't seem to balance the same social priorities and 'green sins' they allege the rest of America is guilty of. What we will see in Denver in August is a festival attended by the liberal political elite living in indulgence and hypocrisy for the good of the world.

Buffer Zone Around a Buffer Zone?

Denali National Park has a buffer zone around the park for the benefit of grey wolves because they go outside the park in winter in search of caribou, sheep and moose. Does Denali need a buffer zone around the buffer zone to prevent the LEGAL trapping of wolves? How big an area should that be?

Speaking of buffer zones.... Otero County Ordinance prohibits the designation of World Heritage sites within Otero County. Speaking of wolves.... Otero County Ordinance prohibits the release of wolves, jaguars and grizzly bears within or adjacent to Otero County.

DENVER PD TO USE 'BEAM GUN' TO QUELL PROTESTS AT DNC

I've been listening to Peter Boyles in the morning on his radio talkshow on Denver's KHOW 630AM. He's featured protest organizers of groups planning to attend the DNC. One of the things the organizers are worried about is the 'beam-gun'. Protest leaders claim the Denver PD have a beam-gun to use for crowd dispersal. The beam-gun is actually the Active Denial System. ON the website, globalsecurity.com, the Active Denial System (ADS) is described as: "Active Denial Technology is a breakthrough non-lethal technology that uses millimeter-wave electromagnetic energy to stop, deter and turn back an advancing adversary from relatively long range. It is expected to save countless lives by providing a way to stop individuals without causing injury, before a deadly confrontation develops."

Some precautionary words of warning for those of you attending the DNC in August, in case you encounter the beam-gun.

1. Don't carry microwave popcorn packets in your pocket.
2. Put your cellphone in a lead sock.
3. Take the tinfoil hat off before entering the protest.
4. IF you have a electric cardiac device emplanted in your chest...turn it off.
5. Hold up a HUNGERY MAN MEAL in front of you.

RESPONSE FROM GERMAN CONSOLATE REF: NMDMV POLICY ON GERMAN DLs

ON April 24th, I contacted the German Consultant in Houston and asked them about the New Mexico Dept. of Motor Vehicles new policy of destroying German driver licenses when a German national acquires a New Mexico drives license.

Here is the April 24th posting on ORF:

NEW MEXICO DMV ORDERS GERMAN DRIVERS LICENSES DESTROYED
Mike Haymes, international radio personality on KRSY 1230AM, informed me the New Mexico DMV has a new policy of destroying German nationals drivers license. Mike said he received a phone call from an employee of the Newe Mexico MVD. The MVD guy told Mike there is a new policy of punching holes in the corner of a German drivers license, when the German national obtains a New Mexico drivers license. The reason for this new policy is to more accurately acquire information on the German national.
NMMVD reasons the German DL's don't have the drivers record available to law enforcement and insurance companies, when the German DL is run for prior traffic violations or infractions.

Today, May 7th, I received this email from the German Consolant:

Dear Mr Woodhull: Thank you for your request of April 24th, 2008 concerning the "destruction" of a German driver's license. There is no international treaty law which is applicable to your case but under customary international law this action of the NM DMV seems to be questionable. A German driver's licence is an official certificate which is in the property of the responsible German authority so that it can only be invalidated by the responsible German authority. For all practical purposes we recommend you to apply for a new German passport with a reference to the policy of NM DMV. If you have remaining questions, please contact me! Sincerely,Marcel Schwarz

On April 24th, ich nahm Kontakt zur deutschen Berater in Houston und fragte sie über die New Mexiko Abt. für Kraftfahrzeuge neuen Politik der Zerstörung deutscher Fahrer Lizenzen, wenn ein deutscher Staatsangehöriger erwirbt ein New Mexico Laufwerke Lizenz.

Hier ist der 24. April Entsendung in ORF:

New Mexico DMV Aufträge Deutsch-Treiber Lizenzen zerstört
