We must treat them in the only way that they understand... with violence." In areas populated by Kikuyu, they read: "The blood of any innocent Kikuyu will be paid. We will slaughter them right to the heart of the capital. For Justice, establish a list of Luos that you know. We will send you the phone numbers to call with such information." Within days, this peaceful country sank into sectarian violence. The riots caused over 1,000 deaths and 300,000 displaced. 500,000 jobs were lost.

Pelosi avoided answering the question, probably because she doesn’t have an answer. Her spokesman said that it was “not a serious question,” but if so, one would presume that Pelosi or her office could provide an easily-corroborated answer. After all, the Constitution is where Congress derives all of its authority. It’s not exactly a lengthy document. How difficult is it to cite the clause that enables Congress to impose a mandate on its citizens to spend money on anything but a tax?

Well, as it turns out, pretty darned difficult. The interstate commerce clause doesn’t apply because Congress doesn’t allow for interstate commerce in health insurance. The “general welfare” clause has never applied to individual mandates, which is why neither Leahy or Pelosi will invoke it publicly. If they trot that out in front of the Supreme Court, they’ll essentially be arguing that the federal government has the authority to impose any kind of mandates at any time on anyone in the country, which makes the limitations of power in the Constitution meaningless — and by extension, makes the Supreme Court meaningless as well. Good luck getting them to buy into that policy."

This is a very sad story about a bear. Everybody should heed the warning to not feed wildlife because they become dependent and cannot forage for themselves anymore.

Free Cell Phones, Free Air Time, No Joke

I had a former employee call me earlier today inquiring about a job, and at the end of the conversation he gave me his phone number. I asked the former employee if this was a new cell phone number and he told me yes this was his “Obama phone.” I asked him what an “Obama phone” was and he went on to say that welfare recipients are now eligible to receive (1) a FREE new phone and (2) approx 70 minutes of FREE minutes every month. I was a little skeptical so I Googled it and low and behold he was telling the truth. TAX PAYER MONEY IS BEING REDISTRIBUTED TO WELFARE RECIPIENTS FOR FREE CELL PHONES. This program was started earlier this year. Enough is enough, the ship is sinking and it’s sinking fast. The very foundations that this country was built on are being shaken. Two County Commissioners are on board for tax abatements

Commissioner Clarissa McGinn continues to stand steadfast on the side of fiscal conservatism. Her constituents should be proud.

Tax abatements, in my opinion, are bailouts on the front end and just a mutation of economic development scams.

At the last regular meeting of the Otero Commission, I address the three commissioners and proferred a letter with an attachment in the form of a commentary by Greg LeRoy, economist and author of The Great American Jobs Scam. (1) Stepping onto the slippery slope of who qualifies, who does not.

(2) Voting for something detrimental to Otero County.

(3) Tax abatements singularly amount to a hill of beans. Collectively, they are big bucks.

(4) Tax abatements and economic development schemes are not fiscally conservative and therefore, not the will of their constituents.

I welcome any debate on this topic. Tell me how I, and noted economists that I read, are wrong. By the way, this issue is nonpartisan in practice. Think I'll go back and read the Republican Party Platform.......

Such a division, however it manifests itself, would motivate a conniving group of federal officials to orchestrate a rescue, solution, mandated compliance or feeding the myth that one minority population poses a threat to the majority population. Could this be happening in the United States in regards to the H1N1 flu pandemic?

I attended the Tea Party in Washington Park a few weeks ago. I estimate maybe 40-50 people were there. I appreciate the fact that the event was organized and thank the people who put it together. The election of America's first black president who has definite communist leanings seems to have brought 'concerned' Americans out into public dissent. Regardless how the Obama administration promotes this president; he was chosen to run because of his race. The most racist weapon in the Democrats arsenal is Barrack Obama. The Democrats have their token politician in the White House being directed by aging white liberals, communists and globalists. Now the agenda is out in the open for conservatives to respond to.

I suggest New Mexican Tea Party attendees start their response by studying their New Mexico State Constitution. Challenge the authority of Obama's czars based on your New Mexico sovereignty.

I foresee a constitutional convention in the future and years of litigation in response to many of these czars policies. If Obama is found to be a non-native born surrogate president, then count on a major political battle in the courts and the rise a powerful constitutional third party.

The indoctrination of children in schools singing political campaign songs in class, praising glorious leader Obama, is a violation of the Hatch Act. I suggest concerned citizens organize curriculum review boards in response to this in-school communist indoctrination of children. Glorious leader Obama wants to increase the school year to 12 months a year and increase the length of the school day. As laid out by Julius Huxley (do your research on Huxley...he's on ORF from 2007), replace the parents with the state. Party on that, if you care.

The FAIRNESS Doctrine should be responded to with a similar doctrine demanding 50% of all Hollywood movies and TV productions be Christian conservative subject matter. Invade the media the communist liberals manipulate and rule.

This takes private property off the tax rolls not to mention the full frontal attack on private property rights.

Congressman Teague,

Yes, you voted to allow Border Patrol to continue its operations in the Santa Cruz Valley National Heritage Area of Southern Arizona, but why did you vote to create the tax payer funded, land grab by the government, in these times of extreme economic uncertainty and gigantic deficit spending? (H.R. 324, Santa Cruz Valley Nation Heritage Area Act.)

This is eerily reminescent of your vote on H.R. 2474, Cap and Trade, where you were so proud of your amendment to protect some of your constituents when you should not vote for anything that requires protections. This is an admission that the legislation is wrong, flawed, period.

In the best of times, when we once had a balanced budget, designation of wilderness areas, National Heritage Areas and U.N. World Heritage Sites were controversial especially to those fiscal conservatives who know that bigger government costs the tax payers dearly. Just since the "Stimulus" that you also voted for was passed, the federal government has created 25,000 new jobs.

Through the results of your votes, the federal deficit continues to grow and so does the number of federal employees. This is not growth, this is economic suicide. I would even argue that this type of "protective" measure, H.R. 324, is eventually detrimental to the health of the land. Just look at how the Forest Service has failed to manage our forests in a healthy condition. Look how the Department of Energy as failed to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. The Department of Education has been a dismal failure. Products of some public schools are functionally illiterate and cannot even make change at the drive-through window.

We are getting wise to you so please don't come "back home" to New Mexico and blow your horn about protecting the border with Mexico by voting for the amendment to allow the Border Patrol to do their job in a area that you ultimately voted to turn over to the federal government.
