"Ted Turner, who once called Christianity a "religion for losers," launched a $200 million partnership Tuesday with Lutherans and Methodists to fight malaria in Africa."
"On Tuesday, Turner's United Nations Foundation, which he started in 1997 with a $1 billion donation, launched the anti-malaria project with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and the United Methodist Church."
In 1962, Rachel Carson's book 'Silent Spring' hit the stores and essentially doomed millions of Africans to die from malaria in the future. How could one book seal the fate of so many? Silent Spring, probably the first environmental gospel of junk science, blamed the use of DDT as an insecticide as the reason wild bird eggshells were too thin, among other environmental atrocities. Carson's allegations have since been proven false.
Ted Turner and his United Nations Foundation will vaccinate Africans and probably not reinstitute the use of DDT. The United Nations has been accused of vaccinating women in Africa with vaccines heavily laiden with mercury. Mercury is an accepted preserving agent in most vaccines. We've all have a shot. In Africa the UN vaccines were loaded with dangerous doses of mercury and fertility sterilzation agents. Ted and the churches and the UN will inject their good will into a region where malaria has been ravaging native populations, thanks to one determined and misguided environmentalist; Rachel Carson.
