Frank Buckles, who drove an Army ambulance in France in 1918 and came to symbolize a generation of embattled young Americans as the last of the World War I doughboys, died Sunday at his home in Charles Town, W. Va. He was 110.
His death was announced by a family spokesman, David DeJonge, The Associated Press said.
He was only a corporal and he never got closer than 30 or so miles from the Western Front trenches, but Mr. Buckles became something of a national treasure as the last living link to the two million men who served in the American Expeditionary Forces in France in "the war to end all wars."

This Travel Management Plan Draft comment document for the Gila National Forest, has been commissioned by the Mogollon Apache Gila Riders (MAG), Gila Road and Trail Alliance, Gila Trail Riders, Las Cruces 4WD club, Gem Crafters and Explorers Club out of Las Cruces and donations by people wanting to chip in. (donate if you are able) New Mexico Off Highway Vehicle Alliance has been a huge help and will also contribute depending on what the bill comes to. Pan Pacific Services did the writing.
The Mogollon Apache Gila Riders have requested other organizations, businesses, and ranches sign onto this document. Those of you who wish to sign onto these comments rather than construct your own please send your approval note and signatory address specifying your organization- business- ranch,

I have found the TMP in the Gila seriously under represents Agricultural, hunting, outfitting and ranching, issues and naturally the above organizations will not be completely focusing on those issues other than their wildlife and socio/economic commentary, so I am planning my comments to compliment this document as well. I will send my comments out this week and they will be for use just as this document is.

A college professor who worked as a senior elections clerk for the city and county of Honolulu in 2008 is making the stunning claim Barack Obama was definitely not born in Hawaii as the White House maintains, and that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Obama does not even exist in the Aloha State.
Tim Adams, a former senior elections clerk for Honolulu, now teaches English at Western Kentucky University.
"There is no birth certificate," said Tim Adams, a graduate assistant who teaches English at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky. "It's like an open secret. There isn't one. Everyone in the government there knows this."
