The current outcry of guns from the United States fueling the Mexican drug cartel violence is an obvious orchestrated fraud, working in conjunction with the Obama administration's stated agenda to ban guns in the United States.  Isn't it convenient that during the Bush years and the last presidential campaign, no one used the word 'illegal' to describe immigration problems in the U.S.  Yet suddenly the word 'illegal' is now loudly used to describe weapons being smuggled out of the U.S. into Mexico.  The charge is these weapons are easily purchased at gun shows in the United States and sold to criminals in Mexico.  This is a fraud in process, a lie and another attempt to guilt, scare and convince the American public gun bans are needed in the United States to save Mexico!  Yet nothing has been said by this administration about the super-meth labs in Mexico producing meth to be sold in the United States.  Rham Emmanuel holds dual citizenship.  He's a citizen of the United States and Israel.  Emmanuel should be pressuring Israel to stop the sell of illegal arms to Hamas.

CONGESTION PRICING

One of the dynamics of 'smarter traffic' is 'congestion pricing'.   Congestion pricing typically involves tolls on roads where none existed before or an increase in existing toll roads.  Of course this type of transportation 'sin' tax will increase as more commuters are forced out of their personal automobiles and onto to public transportation.

From what ORF has learned about 'smart chips' on home furnaces and air conditioners, it is not unrealistic to believe that a smart chip installed in your car or SUV (trucks might be illegal by the time this Big Brother policy becomes law or regulation)  will 'tattle' to SMARTER TRAFFIC computers on how much fuel you are using and how many miles you travel in a week, month or year.  You could expect to receive a warning from the fedgov that you are using too much fuel in your personal vehicle, or driving too much thus putting too much stress on your cities or state's infrastructure, and you might be told to PARK IT AND TAKE THE BUS!  You might also be told that you are prohibited from driving your vehicle out of your state as you have already used your SMARTER TRAFFIC alloted gallons of fuel or miles driven; all determined by models already existing in Europe, Australia and one city in Oregon.  

The classic scenario of Gestapo or Soviet border guards demanding to see papers from indivduals traveling from European state to state will become reality in the form of restrictions on personal vehicle use in the United States.  Yes, ORF realizes this scenario sounds bizarre and unrealistic.  That's exactly what the proponents of this new technology want you to believe about blogs like ORF.  You decide for yourself.  Your SMARTER TRAFFIC warning is in the mail.

TEAGUE BILL WOULD EXPAND FED JURISDICTION AND AUTHORITY IN NEW MEXICO!

"U.S. Reps. Harry Teague and Ciro D. Rodriguez, along with nine others, introduced the Border Reinforcement and Violence Reduction Act to address the increased violence on the border between the United States and Mexico.

The funding in this bill provides law enforcement with additional resources to aggressively go after the illegal gun smuggling that has fueled much of the violence along the border,” said Teague."

This bill is outrageous and not needed!  U.S. Rep. Harry Teague (D) from New Mexico is catering to Rahm Emmanuel's crisis exploitation agenda.  Teague's bill would replace the New Mexico Department of Safety and New Mexico County Sheriff's, as well as the federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms efforts to enforce federal and state laws.  The stats on gun smuggling from the U.S. to Mexico used to be compiled and published by the ATF.  Now they are complied and published by the STATE DEPARTMENT!  The ATF refutes a recent Judiciary Committed finding that 2000 guns a day are smuggled from the U.S. to Mexico; thus President Obama's appeasement and agreement with Mexico's President Caldaron's accusation that the Mexican drug cartels are armed with weapons provided by the United States.  ATF agents testified in the judiciary hearing that maybe a couple of hundred guns make it across the border on a daily basis.

Please take a look at the USDA spread sheet attached showing monies spent and needed to complete the National Animal Identification System - NAIS. It is broken down by state and was sent to me by Ronnie Merritt. I recall citizen communications to Otero County regarding NAIS several years ago and all were opposed.

When our universities, tribes and associations are getting money from USDA, just how free are their staffs/members to oppose the NAIS and keep their jobs and reputations?

As elected representatives you have the obligation to speak the will of your constituents with no threat of job loss or damage to your reputation, in fact just the opposite. That is the beauty of our system.

The same USDA (USFS) asks Otero County to participate in RACs, cooperative agreements, etc. It appeared Thursday 3/19/09 that USFS has little respect for our county by making this latest request with such short notice - one involving participation with other counties in use of Title (?) monies in Lincoln and Gila Forests. This was not even discussed at the work session prior to the regular meeting. Otero County has ordinances requiring agencies to notify Otero County of any plans in land use even in early discussions.

Has Ms. Buchannan, and the other agency heads, been made aware of these ordinances? In writing? Since we have ordinances that are not being enforced uniformly it does harm to Otero County's credibility and ability to do the work of the people. Surely we can all agree on that?

100 BILLS A YEAR        

The power of the registered electorate is one of the essential privileges, rights or freedoms of a democracy.  Or so we are told.  The voting hierarchy serves the Citizen on a similar level of hierarchies.  Merriam-Webster's dictionary defines hierarchy as: 1: a division of angels  2 a: a ruling body of clergy organized into orders or ranks each subordinate to the one above it ; especially : the bishops of a province or nation b: church government by a hierarchy  3: a body of persons in authority  4: the classification of a group of people according to ability or to economic, social, or professional standing ; also : the group so classified  5: a graded or ranked series .

We, as American Citizens, believe our vote directs the elected official whom we elect to represent the constituency we are a part of.  The first definition of hierarchy, noted above is a 'division of angels'.  Believing we have elected a division of angels is not the description most Americans would use in describing politicians.  Some enlightened individuals might think of President Obama as a divine being, but I think most do not.

 

Let's jump to the third and fourth definitions of hierarchy.  The third definition: a body of persons in authority, could rank at any level of authoritarian institutions, from the local school board to the U.s. Congress.  Just how much authority these 'governing bodies' have is debated, defined, regulated and challenged on a daily basis in the United States.  

Definition four: 'the classification of a group of people according to ability or to economic, social or professional standing' could describe our elected officials and the numerous committees, coalitions, political action committees, agencies and partisan groups. .   

Regardless of the American hierarchy of political government and our faith in elected officials representing our political wishes, we are seeing a populace being governed by an unyielding government aggressively expanding federal jurisdiction and authority.  Since the election of Barrack Obama, who among us have voted for the Stimulus package, the DOD policy not to sell expended .223 casings to private munitions manufacturers, continued support and taxpayer paid entitlements for illegal immigrants from foreign nations, the use of textbooks printed in Mexico in American classrooms, the AIG and other bailouts, government interference with American industry, the possible expansion of the war in Iraq into Pakistan, and all the other Orwellian legislation and ideology this president and his czars and cabinet are imposing on the American Citizenry? 

 We are witnessing the unbridled growth of government, much as the Bush administration did the same, and the generational debt to our grandchildren increase.  How do we stop the growth of government and the creation of laws, policies and federal authority we did not vote for?  

I have an idea.

Before I hatch the plan, let me reveal its short comings and its 'non-reality'.  The idea would encumber government with too many people getting involved with what goes on in Washington D.C.  The idea would essentially limit the ability of federal government to grow, function or meet challenges.  The idea would severely limit the power of the hierarchy; definition four.  The political machine in Washington D.C. would slow to a crawl.  

MY idea is to limit the House and Congress to 100 bills a year.  Every bill going before the House and Congress would be voted for approval in a national election by the registered electors throughout the United States.  Yes, I propose on going voting on every bill proposed in Washington D.C.  I also propose ongoing voting on every major resolution, deal, amendment, and scheme, control, authoritarian grab in the federal government.  You protest the average Citizen doesn't have time to study bills, research the U.S. Constitution, and earn a living and raise a family.  To some extent this is true and to a greater extent this is exactly what the scoundrels in Washington D.C. know and rely on; the ignorance and apathy of the public.

We are too busy going to work, paying taxes, raising our families to understand we are being taken down the road to legislated socialism and diminished Constitutional Rights.

It can't be done would be the voice of reason and frugality coming from the opposition.  But think for a moment if this was the case.  My intent for this idea is to limit the creation of pork being legislated into taxpayer funded projects and to force politicians to focus on only the essential legislation needed and created to keep the country running, secure and sovereign.  The theory of transparency in government has never existed, regardless what this president claims.  Protests that nothing would get done in Washington' if only a 100 bills a year were allowed should be answered with let the sovereign states take up the slack.  Let the corporate United States crowd scream about enumerated powers if the states exercised their police power instead of bowing under the force and bullying of the federal government. 

I like the sound of that.  It offers a a challenge to the boys and girls in Washington.  After we ponder this for a while; think how this would work in your home state.

I'm giddy with fantasies of this working in New Mexico.  

Elected officials use your vote as the ticket in and then disregard your phone calls, emails, letters, public demonstrations and basically your belief your are represented.  If you had a weekly or monthly opportunity to vote on the legislative mechanisms in the seats of political power, you might feel 'represented' and involved.  

My idea is only that...an idea.  But what a glorious nightmare it would inflict on the federal government and our elected officials in Washington D.C.

She, being German, KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews.  Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried, and she also carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger children).  She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.  The soldiers, of course, wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the children/infants noises...  During her time and course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 children/infants.  She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs and arms and beat her severely.  Irena kept a record of the names of all the children she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.  After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it, and reunited the family.  Most, of course, had been gassed.  Those children she helped were placed into foster family homes or adopted. Last year Irena was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.... She LOST. Al Gore won for doing a slide show on Global Warming.

Gordon Hutchinson's blog 'THE SHOOTIST' reveals an end run around Congress to greatly diminish the ability of handgun owners and hunters to buy ammunition.  The majority of brass casings used in manufacturing ammunition in the United States are purchased from the DOD.  These brass casings are from rounds already fired and resold by the DOD to private munitions manufacturers.  The brass will be shredded and sold as scrap to China!

Quote from Hutchinson's article on the Shootist blog:

"Got that? From now on, remanufacturers of military brass will not be able to buy surplus brass from DOD--actually from Government Liquidators, llc.--the corporation that sells surplus materials for the U.S. government. At least, not in any form recognizable as once-fired brass ammunition."

Tell your elected officials they have the power to reverse this DOD policy.  Tell them not to support any restrictive policy or new laws taking away your 2nd Amendment right or attempts to out-price or destroy handgun and sportsmen munitions manufacturing in the United States.

HILLARY BRINGS BACK GREEN INITIATIVE FROM NORTH KOREA: PORCH TOILETS

(ORF)  Returning from her world tour as Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton has returned with new ammunition to fuel Presidents Obama's 'green war' on America.  One of the more controversial initiatives Clinton has proposed to the new administration is from North Korea.

Clinton unveiled the traditional North Korean 'porch toilet' in a meeting with President Obama.

Obama described the porch toilet as a return to American traditions and recycling waste material at the same time.  Praising the introduction of the porch toilet to newly proposed environmental legislation, Obama said, "Returning to a time when Americans gathered on the front porches of their neighbors and visited and exchanged family values and community news; the porch toilet will take Americans out of the prison of the privy, and intellectual deprivation, and allow them quality time to converse with their fellow Americans while recycling much need nutrient rich waste material onto their yards and flower beds.  Now, if we can just get Americans to grow cabbage in their front yards instead of expensive and environmentally challenged blue grass lawns then we will be on the road to global participation in the fight against climate change."

"Our own "Martinez Amendment" went through the Senate yesterday without a discenting vote.  The bill has had two hearings and  was included on the consent agenda and now goes to the House.  Thanks for the support on this issue and hopefully we will push this through the House."

Obama Gets Kennedy History Wrong — Ask Sammy Davis

"President Kennedy didn't have the luxury of choosing between civil rights and sending us to the moon," President Obama lectured us during his education speech yesterday.

Unfortunately, the president has his history wrong. It was LBJ, not JFK, who signed the Voting Rights Act.

JFK's civil rights legacy is better defined by two incidents involving Sammy Davis Jr., who campaigned for Kennedy in 1960: Kennedy's disinviting Davis to the Inauguration and, as noted in Wil Haygood's In Black and White, telling an aide at a White House reception with prominent black leaders, "What's he doing here? Get them out of here!" while having Davis and his wife escorted out. You see, Davis was married at the time to actress May Britt, a white woman, and Kennedy didn't want to risk alienating Southern Democrats by being photographed with an interracial couple.

"Sammy Davis wrote a book called Yes, I Can. I sent him a wire and said, 'No, you can't,' " Frank Sinatra would joke on stage, but JFK's shabby treatment of Davis was no joke — and no profile in courage for civil rights.

Given Obama's appropriation of Sammy's book title (and his song), one would think he knows that.

The textbooks are a gift from the Mexican government to the state to help Spanish-speaking students learn English."

H.R. 874: FOOD MONITORING & FOODBORNE DISEASE MONITORING AND SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS

United States Representative Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) has proposed legislation, H.R. 875, which would literally prohibit Americans from raising food for themselves, their families, or even for their animals, without the uber alles national government's permission! Extreme statement? NOT! H.R. 875 makes Americans serfs on their own land! Read on; this one bill could wipe the United States, as a free nation, from the face of the Earth! We urgently need your help to kill this extremely dangerous bill!

H.R. 875, the so-called Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 (FSMA) sounds innocent enough at first blush, with language purporting to "protect the public health by preventing food-borne illness, ensuring the safety of food, improving research on contaminants leading to food-borne illness, and improving security of food from intentional contamination, and for other purposes." In reality, the FSMA is an extensive and all-controlling abomination that must be stopped!

SMART GRID IS IN THE 'STIMULUS PACKAGE'

In Sec. 405 of HR 1, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the stimulus package), includes an amendment to Title XIII, authorizing Smart Grid technology:


SEC. 405. Amendments to Title XIII of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007. Title XIII of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (42 U.S.C. 17381 and following) is amended as follows:
(1) By amending subparagraph (A) of section 1304(b)(3) to read as follows:
`(A) IN GENERAL- In carrying out the initiative, the Secretary shall provide financial support to smart grid demonstration projects in urban, suburban, tribal, and rural areas, including areas where electric system assets are controlled by nonprofit entities and areas where electric system assets are controlled by investor-owned utilities.'.
(2) By amending subparagraph (C) of section 1304(b)(3) to read as follows:
`(C) FEDERAL SHARE OF COST OF TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENTS- The Secretary shall provide to an electric utility described in subparagraph (B) or to other parties financial assistance for use in paying an amount equal to not more than 50 percent of the cost of qualifying advanced grid technology investments made by the electric utility or other party to carry out a demonstration project.'.


(3) By inserting after section 1304(b)(3)(D) the following new subparagraphs:

`(E) AVAILABILITY OF DATA- The Secretary shall establish and maintain a smart grid information clearinghouse in a timely manner which will make data from smart grid demonstration projects and other sources available to the public. As a condition of receiving financial assistance under this subsection, a utility or other participant in a smart grid demonstration project shall provide such information as the Secretary may require to become available through the smart grid information clearinghouse in the form and within the timeframes as directed by the Secretary. The Secretary shall assure that business proprietary information and individual customer information is not included in the information made available through the clearinghouse.
